Crowds of students and parents mingled with personnel from over forty different organizations and LFISD campuses at the tailgate parking lot of La Feria High School located at Canal Street.
The reason – to enjoy a safe evening of free candy, music and Halloween fun.
The event was organized by Criminal Justice teacher Mr. Carlos Romero and was held on October 29, 2019 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Quite a few in attendance dressed in costumes as their favorite characters or ghouls as they either gave or received candies, played games, moon bouncers, and fun themed booths. Booths were decorated and themed after popular films such as “The Wizard of Oz” and “Toy Story”.
Some of the organizations participating in the event were local Police Department and Fire Department, Cameron County Constable, Cameron County Sheriff, and US Army as well as various clubs and groups from LFISD.
The event was a successful way for everyone to enjoy a safe evening of Halloween activities and all look forward to next year’s “Trunk or Treat” which would mark the second annual event.
