Hawks Clipped by Lions
La Feria Sweeps Zapata 55-15

The La Feria football team has won its eighth of the season.
The Lions won their second conference game by defeating the Zapata Hawks by 55-15.
The Lions scored 14 points in the first quarter, 21 points in the second, 7 points in third and 13 in the fourth.
The Hawks scored seven points in the first quarter and eight points in the fourth quarter.
The Lions were scheduled to play the La Grulla Gators in a third district game at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24 in Rio Grande City.
Just last week, the Lions were ranked 235th statewide and 22nd in 4A-1 district ranking.
