Congratulations to the La Feria High School Tennis Team on their amazing playoff run during the fall Team Tennis season. After finishing 3rd in a tough District 32-4A behind Zapata and Raymondville the Lions and Lionettes started postseason play with a Bi-District Championship by defeating the Beeville Trojans 10-1.
They also brought back an Area Championship after defeating the Pleasanton Eagles 10-8, and a Regional Quarterfinal Championship victory over the Hondo Owls 10-8 who had knocked out the Raymondville Bearkats in the Area round.
The Lions and Lionettes advanced to the fourth round Regional Semi-Final in San Antonio where their season came to an end after being defeated by the State Ranked #6 Boerne Greyhounds.
La Feria Tennis finished the fall Team Tennis season ranked #6 in Region IV and #22 in the State! The Lions and Lionettes continue to work hard and practice in preparation for the spring Individual Tennis season with a shot at the Regional and State Tennis Tournaments in May 2020.
