New store in town offers furniture and plenty more

La Feria has a fairly new business in town by the name of Ruben’s Furniture & More, which is located at 2050 Business 83.

Owner Ruben Fonseca of San Benito opened his shop around November of 2019. Fonseca said that at that time, he was looking for a storefront with lots of space to fill with his products, which were being stored in a warehouse and he wanted a storefront to be able to proudly display his merchandise.

He eventually found the store’s home here in La Feria. Fonseca said he loves the community of La Feria and the people here are very friendly.

His goal is to obviously sell his products, but also feature a place where customers can shop comfortably. He also wants to offer the best product for the best price.

The store sells mostly furniture as well as used items, including clothing, collectables, antiques and a little bit of everything.

Fonseca said he’s always adding inventory on a daily basis and that chances of finding a treasure is really high, so when people walk into his store they are not disappointed.

He eventually hopes to do a little remodeling in the store to make more space.

Ruben’s Furniture & More is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
