La Feria ISD hosted its inaugural Health and Wellness Educational Fair on Thursday, Feb. 27.
Mrs. Haydee Rodriguez, the Student Health Advisory Committee Chairperson for the District, stated that there were about 32 booths giving out important health information at the event.
A variety of agencies were on hand to present information on the following topics: dental hygiene, health & wellness, vision screening, social-emotional health, and food and nutrition, just to name a few.
A representative from “It’s Time Texas” was also present to register community members for the community district challenge.
In all Mrs. Rodriguez said that they had a good turnout and hope to keep the program going as well as add more programs in the future to help promote all-around health and wellness.
