La Feria Community Feast of Sharing will continue the tradition again this year.
After being cancelled last year, a group of community members decided that they needed to do something about the annual event that used to take place at the local Jr. High. They knew that there were people who looked forward to the event and might be the only way they would be able to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal.
It was about 3 days until Thanksgiving last year that the community came together to make the event possible.
Last year, they received all sorts of donations plus volunteers to cook the side dishes and turkeys. It was nice to see the community come together as one and it ended up being a great success.
Last year the Feast of Sharing was held at Sweet Blessings Cheesecakes. This year the pandemic isn’t going to stop the local Feast of Sharing from happening.
All precautions will be taken to minimize contact.
This year’s drive by event will be held at 11 a.m. on November 26, 2020 at St. Francis Xavier Parish Hall located at 312 S. West Street.
