The 28th annual Fiesta de La Feria has been canceled this year.
The City of La Feria made a post of Facebook saying the celebration was canceled due to COVID-19 concerns.
The annoucement adds to the list of canceled events put on by the city every year, including the Fourth of July celebrations at Veterans Memorial Park and Sports Complex and Christmas parade.
The Fiesta de La Feria attracts thousands of visitors every year with vendors lined up along Main Strett and East Commercial Avenue. Food vendors sold all sorts of food such as hamburgers, barbeque, lemondade, funnel cakes and many more. Other displays includes antique and show cars, live music, motorcycles and vehicle contests for prizes.
The Los Fresnos Rodeo, which takes place around late Feburary every year, was also canceled this year, but the livestock show is still a good as of now.
