La Feria News

On Saturday, December 11, the City of La Feria Parade was in full swing. This year’s theme was the North Pole and when the cold front arrived on that day, made it feel like Christmas. The parade took place down Main Street. Many people came out to watch the parade this year.
One resident mentioned that there might have not been as many floats this year, but it finally feels like everything is getting back to normal. Prizes were awarded for floats and Christmas/Community spirit decorations that had the “North Pole” theme.
The first-place prize went to C.E. Vail Elementary School. Second-place went to Valley Baptist Family Care Clinic in La Feria and third-place went to Noemi Dominguez Elementary. After the parade people gathered at Lion’s Stadium parking lot to enjoy the Christmas Festival. Also, Kenny’s Funland of La Feria set up some rides for kids to enjoy. All in all it was a great night of family fun.
