Santa Rosa Park Renovation Ceremony and Ribbon Cutting

On Wednesday, March 15, Cameron County Commissioners, state rep., former senators, and congressmen all joined to welcome the Santa Rosa park project. As mentioned back in December of 2022, this is a 2.9 million dollar project, read about it on our website; story titled “Park Renovations in Santa Rosa”.
Cameron County Judge, Eddie Trevino, posted after the ceremony,
“Today we joined in celebration at the Grand Opening Ceremony of the new Santa Rosa Community Park Improvements located in Cameron County Precinct 4!”
“Improvements to this county park situated on an approximately 5-acre tract of land, include a splash pad, lighted covered outdoor basketball court, family pavilion, replacement of existing playground, trail improvements, benches, environmental interpretive/educational signs, native landscaping and butterfly gardens, new concession area, improved lighting, renewed parking space, and the construction of new and refurbished of existing restrooms.”
Trevino thanks Texas Parks and wildlife saying, “Thank you, Texas Parks and Wildlife, the architectural firm and general contractor of record, for the great work.”
Trevino also mentions that the park playground upgrades
