Top Two MLB teams Collide in Weekend Series

When two of the best teams in Major League Baseball face off for a weekend series, it’s always guaranteed a fun time. But, when the two teams are the lone ball clubs with 40+ wins, it’s definitely going to be a battle.
The Texas Rangers and Tampa Bay Rays met for a three game series at the Trop in St. Petersburg, Florida. The Rays, who have been on the warpath, were looking to defend home against a truly worthy adversary. The Texas Rangers, who have been one of the true surprises of 2023, were attempting to make a statement with a huge series win over the Rays.
Tampa Bay, thanks to solid hitting, captured game one with a big 8-3 win. Texas was able to mount up a comeback to capture game two 8-4. The Rays were able to return the favor and defeat the Rangers 7-3 in game three to capture the series three games to two.
Despite the series loss, Texas still holds on to the lead in the American League West.
