Cowboys fall in second Preseason Game
By Ruben Rodriguez
After Falling in Preseason Week One to the Jaguars, The Cowboys looked to turn over a new leaf as they went on a roadtrip to the Pacific Northwest to take on the Seattle Seahawks. Seattle, who is fresh of a win against the Minnesota Vikings, is gearing up for a potential run to the postseason.
A slow first quarter on offense, both teams were unable to find the end zone. The Seahawks however, were able to hit a field goal to lead 3-0.
The offense picked up a bit for both sides as Dallas and Seattle were able to get through the strong defenses that led to a low scoring first. Dallas put up one touchdown while Seattle was able to put up two to lead 17-7 at the Half.
The Tide turned for America’s team as Dallas was able shutdown the Seahawk offense and score another TD and made it a 17-14 ball game heading into the fourth.
Now within three, the Cowboys had a golden opportunity to take the lead. Unfortunately, The Seahawk Defense had another idea in mind. Defense stole the show as the Cowboys were shut down offensively and were even forced a safety by the Seahawks. A field Goal later allowed Seattle to walk away with a 22-14 win.
Dallas will fall 0-2 in preseason play while Seattle stays perfect at 2-0. Both teams will have one more Preseason tuneup as Dallas will take on Las Vegas, and Seattle will take on Green Bay.
