South Texas International Marathon Passes Through La Feria

The 1st Annual South Texas International Marathon took place on Sunday December 3rd. This was a one-of-a-kind historic event that took place here in the RGV. The Marathon started off in Donna and finished in Harlingen. Since the City of La Feria was one of the locations the marathon runners were passing through the city was fully prepared for the event. There were several people from La Feria that participated in this first-year event. There were participants from the USA, Mexico, Brazil, Bolivia, France, U.K. and Japan. The Harlingen Convention Center was the finish line where they also were hosting the South Texas International Health and Fitness Expo. Photos from the City of La Feria.
El primer Maratón Internacional Anual del Sur de Texas se llevó a cabo el domingo 3 de diciembre. Este fue un evento histórico único que tuvo lugar aquí en el RGV. El maratón comenzó en Donna y terminó en Harlingen. Dado que la Ciudad de La Feria era uno de los lugares de paso por los corredores de maratón, la ciudad estaba completamente preparada para el evento. Hubo varias personas de La Feria que participaron en este evento del primer año. Hubo participantes de Estados Unidos, México, Brasil, Bolivia, Francia, Reino Unido y Japón.
