Local Business Holds Event to Benefit RGV Shriners Club

On Saturday, March 2nd, 2024, 2 And A Crew motorcycle shop held its 4th Annual Meat Burning Contest State Championship in La Feria, Texas. The event was organized to benefit the RGV Shriners Club of La Freia. Texas Representative Oscar Longoria passed a resolution to sanction this event for the Jack Daniels World Championship Invitational Barbecue contest scheduled for October 11th and 12th, 2024, in Lynchburg, Tennessee.
Twenty-four participants competed in this year’s event, showcasing their BBQ skills for the people of the valley. In addition to the food, many desserts and drinks, including beer, were available to quench anyone’s thirst. The entertainment for the event was provided by Eros and the Drifters, who showcased some Texas country music.
There was also a raffle featuring many prizes donated by this year’s sponsors, including La Feria Excavation, La Feria Bottle Shop, Mid-Valley Agriculture, and Aaron’s Brake and Alignments. Julie Cooke from 2 And A Crew expressed her happiness with the turnout and thanked everyone involved for making this event a success and raising money for the RGV Shriners, a good cause.

El evento fue organizado a beneficio del club RGV Shriners de La Freia.
