Three La Feria ISD Students Earn Their NCCER Certification This Summer

La Feria Independent School District would like to congratulate Bryan Castellanos, Sean Cruz, and Daniel Martinez for successfully completing the Summer Bridge Program in partnership with HCISD. In July, the district worked closely with HCISD to offer two distinct Career and Technical Education (CTE) opportunities. These students gained hands-on experience in various construction areas throughout the program, honing their skills and knowledge. They also earned their National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) certification as a testament to their hard work and dedication. This prestigious accomplishment acknowledges their expertise in the field and opens doors to numerous career opportunities.

The Summer Bridge Program is specifically tailored for students entering 9th and 10th grades for the 2024-2025 school year, providing them with insights into various CTE programs. This intensive, four-week program is designed for incoming 9th and 10th graders who have not yet registered for courses within the CTE Apprenticeship Academy (including Architectural Drafting and Design, Carpentry, Electrical, HVAC, Welding, Plumbing and Pipefitting, and Masonry). During this program, students can explore the areas of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Pipefitting.

There is an escalating demand for skilled professionals in various industries, including construction. Fortunately, funding opportunities are available for schools to establish and enhance construction education programs. Given these circumstances, it is an opportune moment to highlight the CTE courses offered by your school. The district appreciates HCISD for consistently providing partnership opportunities and allowing educational initiatives to grow and succeed.

Tres estudiantes de La Feria ISD obtienen su certificación NCCER este verano

El Distrito Escolar Independiente de La Feria quisiera felicitar a Bryan Castellanos, Sean Cruz y Daniel Martinez por completar exitosamente el Programa Summer Bridge en asociación con HCISD. En julio, el distrito trabajó estrechamente con HCISD para ofrecer dos oportunidades distintas de Educación Técnica y Profesional (CTE). Estos estudiantes adquirieron experiencia práctica en diversas áreas de la construcción a lo largo del programa, perfeccionando sus habilidades y conocimientos. También obtuvieron la certificación del Centro Nacional de Educación e Investigación en Construcción (NCCER) como testimonio de su arduo trabajo y dedicación. Este prestigioso logro reconoce su experiencia en el campo y abre las puertas a numerosas oportunidades professionals.

El programa Summer Bridge está diseñado específicamente para estudiantes que ingresan al noveno y décimo grado para el año escolar 2024-2025, brindándoles información sobre varios programas CTE. Este programa intensivo de cuatro semanas está diseñado para estudiantes entrantes de 9.º y 10.º grado que aún no se han registrado para cursos dentro de la Academia de Aprendizaje CTE (incluidos dibujo y diseño arquitectónico, carpintería, electricidad, HVAC, soldadura, plomería y instalación de tuberías, y albañilería). Durante este programa, los estudiantes pueden explorar las áreas de HVAC, electricidad, plomería y tuberías.

Existe una demanda creciente de profesionales calificados en diversas industrias, incluida la construcción.
