- Updated: November 6, 2015
La Feria Defeats Kingsville 20-9
by Coach Jaime Acuna
The La Feria Lions defeated the Kingsville Brahmas 20 – 9 last Friday night to get one step closer to reaching their goal of becoming District Champions. With the win, the Lions have assured themselves another playoff spot for the 2015 season.
The Lions have also assured themselves at least a share of the district championship. The win versus the Brahmas improves the Lions overall record to 6 – 2 overall and 3 – 0 in district. With four straight wins the Lions inch closer and closer to an outright district title for the first time since 1999.
They will have a chance for that outright title when the Zapata Hawks come to town on Friday, October 30th at Lion Stadium. The Lions are excited to play at home, where they will have the support of the Lion faithful.
Things have been clicking for the Lions and we are excited to have a chance to win district in front of the home crowd. Good luck to the team, their coaches, and all those have had a hand in making this season a special one. Go Lions
