David E. Butler went to eternal rest on January 9, 2014 surrounded by his loving family after a short illness. He was born in Lubbock, TX to the late Jesse and Anita Butler. He was a loving and kind-hearted husband, father, grandpa, brother and friend.
David owned and operated Butler’s Foods in Harlingen, TX from 1985-1993. He has been employed since 1994 as a store manager at El Centro Foods in La Feria, TX. He enjoyed spending time with his loving family. David had a love for motorcycles. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle throughout the Rio Grande Valley.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nelda Butler, 3 children: Thomas (Micie) Butler, John (Ana) Butler and Pamela Butler. He has 8 grandchildren, Shawn (Cristi) Butler, Crystal Butler, Courtney Butler, Branden Butler, John Michael Butler, Holly Anne Butler, Coral Romero and Cheyanne Romero. He has 1 great grandson, Kolton Peyton. He has 1 sister, Yvonne (Dwight) Fullingim, 1 niece, Emily (Cory) Johnson and 2 great nieces.
Memorial service was held on Sunday, January 12, 2014 between 6pm-9pm at Heavenly Grace in La Feria, TX. Burial was on Monday, January 13, 2014 at 11:00am at the Gonzalez Family Cemetery in Concepcion (Rios), TX.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Heavenly Grace Memorial Park Funeral Home.
