La Feria Defeat Progresso 59 -14
by Coach Jaime Acuna
The La Feria Lions came out firing on all cylinders during their Homecoming Game versus the Progreso Red Ants.
Brandon Perez started things off when he returned a punt for a long touchdown.

Soon after, Perez did it again – scoring his second touchdown of the night with another punt return for a touchdown.
The Lion offense did a masterful job in moving the ball downfield and creating scoring opportunities for themselves. The Lion defense also played tough, constantly putting pressure on the opposing quarterback and shutting down any offensive attack that the Red Ants may have had coming into the game.
La Feria went into halftime with a 56 – 14 advantage and would go on to win 59 -14. The Lions took an open week this past week and start district play this Friday, October 9th, at Grulla.
Come support the Lions as they travel to Gator Country and try to earn their first district win. With only four games on their district schedule, every game is important and so is your support!
