The La Feria Chamber of Commerce held a Winter Texan Appreciation Day event from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the parking lot of El Centro Foods at 500 N. Main Street in La Feria on Saturday, March 4th.

The event was free and open to the public as an appreciation for the yearly winter visitors and the business they bring to our area.

Though it was a little rainy and windy, volunteers and Chamber members set up tents for the event. There was a raffle as well as free hot dogs and drinks and music. The event was sponsored by El Centro Foods and the La Feria Chamber of Commerce.

The La Feria Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary organization of the business community. It unites business and professional individuals and firms creating a central agency which lends itself to improving business and building a better community. Although members are predominantly part of the business community, there is a place in the Chamber for all who share the desire to improve the community and get involved.
