Three students from La Feria Independent School District football team attended a camp this past weekend called Blue Grey All American Super Combine.
The event, held at June 2 and 3 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, is where players are put to the test as scouts look for potential players to move to higher levels.
The students are Alex Yerena, an offensive linebacker; Darius Hernandez, a wide receiver; and Victor Luna, a linebacker.
The trio said they attended a combine earlier this year and were notified by the athletic department about the super combine.
They all said it will be a great experience for them and, at the same, are glad to represent La Feria and its school district.
Yerena is a sophomore while Hernandez and Luna are juniors at the high school.
The three students took care of the expenses required for the trip and each of them expressed optimism for having the opportunity to show their football skills in hopes to land scholarships and the chances to play the challenging sports beyond high school.
