Warriors Improve to 4-0 in District Play

The Santa Rosa Warriors knocked off the Progreso Red Ants for another round of District 32-3A play. Heading into the matchup, Santa Rosa and Progreso were both 3-0 heading into the game. Last season, Santa Rosa swept Progreso on their way to the 32-3A District Title.
Early on, Santa Rosa jumped ahead to a 14-9 lead at the end of the first quarter, thanks to efficient offense. After trailing by five after the end first, the Red Ants had a surge of offense in the second quarter, outscoring Santa Rosa 20-15. Despite being outscored, Santa Rosa still played enough defense to keep the game tied at 29 heading into halftime.
Santa Rosa played a dominant offense and defense in the third quarter. Santa Rosa led a majority of the third quarter and eventually broke the game open. Santa Rosa outscored the Red Ants 20-9 to lead 49-38 at the end of the third. Santa Rosa continued the offense in the fourth quarter and held off an offensive surge by Progreso to win 75-61.
Santa Rosa improved to 11-7 on the season and 4-0 in District 32-3A play.
