The La Feria Lions Basketball Team is set for the UIL Class 4A Region Four Playoffs. Here is a recap of the Regular Season for the Roll Pride.
After an 8-5 non-district record. , The Lions finished off District 32-4A with a 10-4 record.
For District Play, La Feria went on a four-game winning streak to start off District play. The Lions defeated Grulla, Hidalgo, Brownsville Jubilee, and HSI. The Lions then suffered two straight losses to Port Isabel and Zapata before bouncing back with a win over Raymondville.
To begin the second half of District Play, the Lions went on a five-game streak, defeating Grulla, Hidalgo, Brownsville Jubilee, HSI, and Port Isabel. La Feria would fall to Zapata, and Raymondville to wrap up the regular season.
La Feria will take on Tuloso-Midway in the Bi-District Round of the Playoffs. Last season, the Lions finished off 1-7 in 32-4A play and missed the playoffs. This season, La Feria looks to continue their momentum from the playoffs
