Lionettes fall in 32-4A Opener

The La Feria Lionettes faced off against the Grulla Lady Gators in the District 32-4A opener for the 2023 UIL Volleyball Season
Looking to shake off a rough time in non-district, The Lionettes were set for 32-4A play.
Set one was a close matchup that saw both teams juggle for control. With both teams hitting hard from either side of the net, Grulla managed to slip away late and captured set one 25-18.
Set two saw the Lady Gators take control early on as they were set to capture their second set. However the Lionettes were not going to go down without a fight. Grulla once again slipped away and captured the second set 25-16.
Now down 2-0, La Feria looked to keep the game going as much as possible. In what ended up being a back and forth matchup, Grulla and La Feria went back and forth Juggling for control. Down to the wire, Grulla was able to pick up more kills and won at the end 25-21.
Now 0-1 in 32-4A, La Feria will turn their attention to District Rival Hidalgo.
