La Feria News
After picking up a win in week two, The La Feria Lions faced off against the Brownsville Pace Vikings in a rematch of their 2022 meeting that saw La Feria win on the road 42-21. This season, Brownsville Pace was hungry for their first win heading into the La Feria matchup.
In a matchup that was all defense, both teams were unable to score in the first three quarters of the game.
The offense finally sparked up in the fourth quarter as both the Lions and Vikings scored multiple times. In a game that came down to the wire, Brownsville Pace slipped away and took the win 28-26.
Now 1-2 on the season, La Feria will have one more non-district game against Mercedes before beginning District Play against Alice on September 22.
