La Feria ISD posted early this month that students at La Feria Early College High School have been working hard and using their welding skills in Mr. Salazar’s Agriculture Equipment & Design Class.
Mr. Salazar, the Agricultural Science Teacher and FFA Advisor shares, “The students are at a good cross between nervous and excited.”
Mr. Salazar says students have been working on these projects since January. He shares that this year’s flagship project is a trailer BBQ Pit. The pit is being built and welded by three female students, Janelle Cardona, Angelina Rodriguez, and Melanie Villareal.
In total this year La Feria has 28 shop projects that are getting ready for the Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show. As of last week, they were nearing the end with getting to the painting process.
