The La Feria Lions Boys Basketball team had a successful 2023-24 regular season, now we head into the nitty gritty of Playoff basketball. But first, we will break down what we saw in the regular season.
The Lions had a dominant run in the regular season. Despite the slow start in Non-District play, the Lions were able to pick up some key wins. Heading into district play, the Lions had a dominant mentality and were able to take control of the season. Picking up an impressive 12-2 record in district, La Feria finished in second place of 32-4A.
As the two seed, the Lions set up a date with the Calallen Wildcats out of District 31-4A. La Feria once again turned to the offense and were able to control the tempo of the game to secure a 57-40 win over Calallen.
The Lions will now face off against the Somerset Bulldogs in the Class 4A Area Round.
