Santa Rosa Takes to Regionals Meet in Kingsville, Tx
- Updated: March 21, 2024
Featured in this week’s paper. Updates on State Competition coming soon.
A message from Santa Rosa Coach, Joe Marichilar:
“The boys did a great job. Our goal was to qualify as many as we could to state.
We wanted to represent Santa Rosa as a team at the STATE MEET in Abilene, TX.
The boys advancing to the STATE Meet is something new to the boys’ division. There had been
powerlifting here before, but I’m unsure how far they took it. I know our boys advancing to State has not
been done in a long time. I am extremely proud, but we still have a little more in the tank. It’s not done
just yet. We did have a state championship last year as Leslie Flores was a 2x State Champion for Santa Rosa High School.”
