Mirrored glistening ripples
On a gentle country road,
Reflecting life, giving light
That comes from far beyond,
Coaxing sleeping seedlings,
Bedded nestling in the ground,
Growing to kiss the heavens,
Giving life to all around.
The flocks of red hashed birds
Alight on the bounties found.
But when their lives have ended,
They too shall enrich the ground.
Within each living thing in turn
The gift of life may be found
Though it journeys here on earth
And comes from heav’nward down.
Love’s contained in Spring’s rebirth.
It’s raised up from the ground.
