On June 8, 2024, a luncheon at J.C. Wings Restaurant was held to award scholarships to 4 La Feria High School graduates. Family and friends gathered as the scholarship recipients were awarded the Butch and Alice Puente Memorial Scholarship. Guest speaker was Gloria Cases and the presenters were Gloria Saldana, Delia Flores and Irene Zuniga.
Scholarship Recipients were, from left to right: Fernando Castro son of Irvin and Jacinta Castro, Liana Navarro daughter of Tomas and Anna Navarro, Mia Trevino daughter of Noe Trevino and Claudia Garcia and Joaquin Trevino son of Oren and Laura Trevino.
The Puente family would like to thank those who continue to help make the Puente scholarship award possible.
