A huge shout-out to Ms. Baldivia’s and Ms. Guerra’s 6th-grade math classes for their incredible dedication! These amazing students have consistently achieved their weekly goals since the start of the school year. To celebrate their hard work, they enjoyed delicious ice cream sandwich sundaes.
Special recognition goes to the top Zearn lesson students from each class: Madalyn Trevino, Asiel Hernandez, James Hernandez, Ayden Zamora, Angel Rodriguez, and Antonio Vargas.
The Zearn program is a non-profit educational organization that developed Zearn math, which is used by over 1 million middle school students nationwide, as well as by 1 in 4 elementary school students who utilize this highly-rated math learning platform. Zearn was created by teachers for teachers and provides dynamic digital lessons along with research-backed curriculum.
The Zearn program has proven to help accelerate math learning for all students. Those who used Zearn Math had math scores that were 2.5 times higher than those who did not engage with the program, as demonstrated by a large-scale statewide analysis. With a vast data set, this research offers unique insights into trends in math learning and teaching.
With millions of students solving billions of math problems on this platform, it’s clear that math is for everyone. Since Zearn is a non-profit, it is committed to sharing data insights to support the pursuit of numeracy for all. Research indicates that students who completed three or more grade-level Zearn math lessons per week for at least 30 minutes outperformed their peers who did not engage with the platform. Both state and district impact studies have shown the positive effects of consistent Zearn math usage on state and interim assessment scores.
Zearn utilizes data from billions of completed math problems on the platform to continuously improve math learning and teaching.
