La Feria ISD Held Another Successful Parent Conference

La Feria Independent School District (ISD) recently celebrated its annual parent conference, which once again proved a resounding success. This year’s theme, “Empowering Parents for Student Success,” resonated strongly with attendees and highlighted the importance of parental involvement in education.
La Feria ISD would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to everyone who participated, especially Mrs. Nancy Loredo, the Family and Community Engagement Coordinator, who played an instrumental role in organizing this event. Their efforts fostered an inclusive atmosphere, encouraging dialogue and collaboration among parents, educators, and community members.

A profound thank you is owed to Special Agent Jesse Garza for his enlightening presentation on Project iGuardian. This initiative armors parents with essential knowledge and practical tools to safeguard their children in today’s complex digital landscape, emphasizing the need for vigilance and proactive measures.
The ACE program showcased the incredible talents of our students through captivating performances by the Conjunto ensemble, Accordionists, Cheerleaders, and Dance teams. Their presentations entertained and inspired attendees, demonstrating the rich cultural heritage and diverse talents prevalent in our school district.

We would also like to express our gratitude to all the exhibitors, community organizations, dedicated staff members, expert presenters, enthusiastic volunteers, and supportive parents. Your collective involvement and unwavering support are vital in empowering our students and contributing to their growth and success.

Additionally, we are thrilled to congratulate the winners of our art contest, an initiative designed to inspire creativity and self-expression among students. We were astounded by the innovative visions showcased during the exhibition. The winners of the art contest are as follows:
