La Feria High School Graduation This Week

More than 220 high school seniors will graduate this week during a ceremony at the district stadium.
The commencement ceremony will start at 7 p.m., Friday, May 24.
Cynthia Chairez, the school principal, said students from both the high schools and the academy will wear their caps and gowns for the event that will mark the end of their high school education.
“This has been an extraordinary group,” she said. “They have reached achievement in all aspects of education.”
Chairez also said many of the students made great accomplishments in athletics as well.
The ceremony will be held at Lions Stadium.
She said 227 students from both campus will get their diplomas on that day.
This year’s Valedictorian is Jordan Bennett and the Salutatorian is Karina Diaz.
