New Church Opens in La Feria

About a dozen places of worship are found in La Feria.
Add to that Living Water Church, or the newest such place where people can go for such services without distinction or creed or religious beliefs.
A non-denominational center, anybody is welcome to attend services held every Sunday in English and in Spanish.
Enrique Chaves and wife Maria Rosa are the church pastors.
“We were both ordained at another church and believed it was time for us to be on our own as pastors,” he said. ”I have been attending Nation University pursuing a bachelor’s degree in theology.”
The Chaves said they want to be involved in the community as much as they can once they are established and people know more about them.
“We want to work with and serve the community,” she said. “We even plan to run a food pantry.”
The church opened is doors on June 20 and is located on the west side of town at 2805 Memorial Road behind Ram’s BBQ and next to Mi Destino Adult Day Care.
