Job seekers can find many work opportunities Oct. 10
LA FERIA –The 6th Annual La Feria Job Fair takes place Thursday, Oct. 10 from 1-5 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of La Feria.
Whether it is for full-time, part-time or seasonal work, anyone looking for work can make meet with at least 20 area employers at the event. Several of the employers will even conduct on-site interviews. Workforce Solutions Cameron will provide Internet-ready computers at the job fair so applicants can immediately fill out and submit their applications online. Job seekers are encouraged to bring copies of their resumes.
The Methodist church is located at 331 Main St. Job seekers who do not have transportation to La Feria can ride Valley Metro for free and should call 1-800-574-8322 for the route and schedule.
Employers who have already confirmed for the job fair include: ACT (Advanced Call Center Technologies), Brownsville Independent School District, La Feria Independent School District, DISH, Hampton Inn & Suites-Harlingen, Harlingen Country Club, IDEA Public Schools, Jackson Hewitt Tax Services, Liberty Income Tax, Manpower, Region One SubHub, Rio Grande State Center, San Benito CISD, Texas Army National Guard, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Texas Department of Public Safety, Trinidad Primary Home Care, TVNS (Texas Visiting Nurse Service), U.S. CENSUS Bureau, U.S. Customs & Border Protection and Whataburger-La Feria.
