La Feria residents are apparently happy with the way things are progressing in the community and elected to continue with the same leaders for the next three years.
Sworn in (photo below) by Cameron County Court at Law #1 Judge Arturo McDonald were Commissioner John Betancourt, John Hernandez and Mayor Steve Brewer. The ceremony took place at the recent commission meeting held May 14.
Judge McDonald congratulated the council and said it showed the community had great confidence in the work the commission does to make La Feria a better place to live and work.
The council re-elected Lori Weaver as Mayor Pro-Tem.
