Lionettes basketball season comes to a close

The stange 2020-21 basketball season has come to a close for the La Feria Lionettes. A strong regular season got the team district runner-up honors and a playoff berth.
That playoff game was Friday February 12 against Calallen. The Lionettes came up short 30-46 which dashed the hopes of a playoff run.
These ladies put in a lot of hard work and spirit in to a great season.
District rivial Rio Hondo is ranked 8th in the state by TGCA. The Lady Bobcats are looking to make a deep run in the playoffs. If they win against Somerset, then they will face either Robstown or Crystal City in the regional quarter final.
Santa Rosa Lady Warriors are awaiting a reschedule of their playoff game with Skidmore-Tynan.
Santa Maria fell to Port Aransas in their playoff game 40-33.
The La Feria Boys Varsity Basketball team is matched up with Kingsville in the first round of the playoffs.
Santa Rosa Warriors start the playoffs against Lyford.
