On Sunday, December 12th, a Toys for Tots event was held in Mercedes. Sponsors Bill Bunton Auto, Los Castigados Car Club & Land Cruisers held the 17th Annual Swap Meet & Classic Car Show to benefit Toys for Tots. The car show took place at the Bill Bunton Auto Supply parking lot.
The car club distributes gifts to needy children all over the valley. La Feria resident Felix De Anda is the show’s organizer. Toys for Tots is a program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve. They distribute toys to the less fortunate. Their campaign for donations usually runs from October to December and distribute toys in late December.
