The Texas Rangers have been making waves in the 2023 MLB season, and in two months, have already hit a milestone.
The Red Hot Rangers are the second team to hit 40 wins in 2023, right behind the dominant Tampa Bay Rays (44-19). The Rangers currently hold a 40-20 record in the American League.
The Rangers, since making key trades, have bumped up their lineup and defense. Pitching has also been led by the arms of Nathan Eovaldi, Jon Gray, Martin Perez, and Andrew Heaney.
Despite the success in 2023, the Rangers suffered a crucial setback as Jacob DeGrom will be having Tommy John Surgery and will miss the remainder of 2023. DeGrom, who started off excellent in his first year in Texas, will have one of his shortest seasons due to injury with just only six starts.
