LIONS MENS CROSS COUNTRY TEAM CONTINUES TO MAKE GREAT STRIDES

The La Feria boys cross country ran a tough and challenging meet Saturday September 13th. The meet was held at the Mercedes stock show grounds. The race course was drenched with heavy rains the previous night and most of the following morning. The race was still very competitive with the Varsity team placing 7th in the 6A elite division.
Joseph Lunn led the team with a 21st place finish. Other top runners were Carlos Rodriguez 29th,Isaac Guzman 30th,Vincent Vento 32nd,Gabriel Prado,Reyes Rodriguez and Billy Guerra.
The J.V. team placed 2nd in the 4A division. The team was led by Mario Aleman who placed 3rd overall. the other top finishers included Javier Castillo 18th,Andres Cavazos , Livan Garza,and Reed McCall.
The 9th grade team placed 3rd. Marcus Torres was the top La Feria runner in that division.
