Lions Fall To Soaring Hawks
- Updated: November 14, 2014
The La Feria Lions traveled to Zapata on Halloween night and faced a tough Hawks football team. The two teams came into the game with identical district records at 2 – 1. It was a back and forth affair as both teams ran the ball well respectively against one another. At the end it was the Zapata Hawks who came out on top with a 31 – 21 score. The La Feria Lions are still advancing to the playoffs and will face the Gonzales Apaches. The date and time have not yet been determined. The lions are excited and determined leading into the game versus the Apaches and hope to win a Bi-District Championship. Good luck to these young men as they head into the 2014 Texas State Football Playoffs. La Feria finished the season with a 6 – 3 overall record for the season.
