Judge Trejo sets $100K Bond
Primera Chief of Police Manuel Trevino and his deputies brought Jeremy Bridges of Primera to be arraigned on the charge of injury to a child–a First-degree felony.
The judge set a $100K bond on Bridges and also issued a 90-Day Protective order on accused. The victim is a 3 month-old baby. Bridges is charged with violent shaking and harm to the infant resulting in a case of Shaken Baby Syndrome. The child lost consciousness.
The mother called 911 and provided information to the police and Child Protective Services. CPS took charge and the infant was taken to a hospital where the attending physician reported extensive harm. Chief Trevino said the accused has a history of abusive behavior.
The father moved to Long View after the incident and was transported back to the Valley for arraignment. A trial date is yet to be set.
