Contestant & Vendor Registration Forms Available Online Now

The “Fiesta de La Feria” is a family oriented gathering held annually in the city of La Feria. This year’s Fiesta is scheduled for Saturday, February 27, 2016 from 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Main Street (downtown) just south of Business 83.

Activities this year include a Car Show featuring antique, classic, and modified cars, an art gallery featuring artwork from local and surounding area schools, a cultural arts center featuring a baking competition and the annual Tiny/Lil’/Jr. Mr. and Miss Fiesta de La Feria competition for children, a kid’s corner with game booths, face painting, inflatables, a variety of live bands, plenty of food, merchandise, and arts & crafts vendors, as well as other family oriented entertainment.

Baking Contest
The items must be homemade, not store bought, and must be in a disposable container (containers will not be returned). All entries must submit a copy of their recipe at time of delivery. The items must be delivered to the Cultural Arts Center between 10:30 am and 11:00 am the day of the Fiesta. The items become the property of the Fiesta de La Feria at time of delivery.

Judging will start in the Cultural Arts Center at 11:15 am. Bakers must be present during judging. Winners will be announced immediately following judging. Ribbons will be Awarded to the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Place Winners in each Category. Best of show will be selected from the 1st Place Winners in each Category. Best of Show – Ribbon & a Pampered Chef Gift Basket – $100 Value (donated by Rose Saenz).

To register your baked goods in the Fiesta de La Feria Baking Competition, please download and return the registration form available at the city of La Feria website to City Hall by 4:30 PM February 19, 2016.

Car Show
The Car Show begins at 10:00 am. All Vehicles must be parked in place on Main Street south of Oleander Avenue by noon. Cars may enter from East or West Magnolia Avenue to Main Street/FM 506. All participants must sign in at the Car Show Registration Tent at the corner of Primrose Avenue and Main Street. The first 50 registered entries to sign in at the Car Show will receive a FREE Fiesta de La Feria Car Show T-shirt. Each participant will be given a number at sign in.

Numbers must be placed in or on the front windshield of the car. There will be 5 Categories Judged this year: Classic 1960 – 1991, Antique 1959 – older, Modified, Best of Show & Mayor’s Choice. Judging will be done by a panel of Judges. Winners will be announced at 4:30 pm. Pictures for the media will follow the announcement.
