THANK YOU City of La Feria!

To all my customers and friends in La Feria and the surrounding communities, I wish to say “thank you”. I relocated to the RGV after almost 23 years of service with the State Farm in Bloomington, IL., Winter Haven, FL. and Austin, Tx.

I had only been to the Valley two times prior to the move to Harlingen. I was given the opportunity to become an agent for the greatest insurance company in the world. After four years in Harlingen, I was asked to take over an agency in La Feria. Being a small town boy from Streator, IL., I jumped at the chance.

I love the small town atmosphere and the people. You the people are what make the RGV what it is. My staff and I tried to do our very best at educating all that we came into contact with, about the many State Farm products that are available. We put them into Layman’s terms. I also loved getting involved with the many committees, Halloween in the Park, Lighting of the Tree, and the Christmas Parade.

I am retiring with just short of 43 years of service with State Farm. My wife, Judith and I will be relocating to Georgetown, in South Austin and Allen, Tx. I hope to keep working on my antique/classic cars, play some golf, and check off a bucket list of things that I promised my wife we would do some day.

Our office here in La Feria, will continue to offer State Farm’s Good Neighbor service and I hope you all embrace my replacement. I will miss you La Feria. Many of you have become close friends and all of you were like family to me. Again, you the people are what make “The Rio Grande Valley” what it is.

Thank you,
John Ftacek
