Nathanael Salas and Emily Guerra from the La Feria High School received an invitation to perform at the first annual 2017 South Texas College Honor Band held at South Texas College – Cooper Center Arts, 3201 Pecan Blvd, McAllen TX.
The invitation was made by Dr. Coy who judged at the UIL Region 28 Solo and Ensemble.
This prestigious event granted them the opportunity to expand their musical performance skills at a college level, and to play alongside some of the best high school musicians in the Valley while representing the La Feria community.
The weekend clinic began Friday, April 21st 2017 with a performance on Sunday, April 23rd at 5 pm.
Both students were very grateful for this opportunity and thank the South Texas College Music department.
They also thank the La Feria High School band directors and La Feria ISD for the outpouring of support in their music education.
