Angel Aleman takes the helm

The State Farm Insurance Company just took a step forward for their customers with the arrival of Angel Aleman, the new agent in La Feria. Aleman and his staff will continue to service their clients at the familiar downtown location at the corner of Oleander street and Main street.

“Right now, we are three in the office, but soon we will be adding new people,” the new agent said.

To get to know the new State Farm representative, LA FERIA NEWS met with Aleman to talk about his life and his plans.

Aleman said, “I am very happy to now have my office in this beautiful city. I am a Valley man and was very pleased to have this opportunity to offer our services to our long-time clients in La Feria and surrounding areas, and we look forward to meeting many new customers as our additional services become available.”

Then Aleman said with a smile, “I am going to be your ‘ready-to-go’ insurance agent–ready-to-go anytime day or night, seven days a week.. If someone has an emergency, help is as close as your telephone–jot down our number: It is (956) 797 2881.

When asked about his background, Aleman said that he was born and raised here in the Valley in Weslaco, Texas. He graduated from UTPA in 2000 with a Bachelors in Spanish Language and a minor in Business Administration. “I have been married to my beautiful wife Ilse Aleman for 2 years now, and we have a wonderful life,”

“I have been in the insurance business for 5 years,” he said, describing his background.

“That experience has taught me ways to help people prepare for the future and protect their assets. My team and I are looking forward to helping protect what matters most to the great people of La Feria.”

“Our office mission,” he added. “is to be an additional shining pillar to the community of La Feria through our great customer service.”

Aleman stressed that in addition to the regular insurance policies available, including: Automobile, Homeowners, Life, Health, Disability and Hospital Supplement services, his company now offers these additions: On-line banking, credit cards, checking accounts, vehicle financing.

“I am in the process of getting my mortgage license, which will make us able to finance and refinance homes,” he added.
