La Feria Mayor Victor Gonzalez, Jr. was recently invited by Professor Alberto Garcia to present Certificates of Completion to graduates in the Adult Continuing Education Course at the BISD ACE Constortium – La Feria Co-Op.

The BISD Adult Continuing Education (ACE) Consortium is a department of Brownsville Independent School District and the fiscal agent for Cameron County. BISD Adult Continuing Education provides services to a multicultural population who are educationally and economically disadvantaged adults, 17 years and older.

Transitions classes, Career Pathways Classes, and Certification for employment are offered by ACE through a partnership with YouthBuild, Texas Southmost College, and Texas State Technical College.

BISD ACE Consortium for Cameron County strives to meet the needs of our community by educating adults with English as a Second Language and Adult Basic Education (GED) to learn to communicate effectively with others, become independent, and be current with trends in employment and higher education.
