La Feria Chamber of Commerce Hosts Appreciation Dinner

A large group of local area businessmen and women, as well as Chamber of Commerce members, attended the 2016 La Feria Chamber of Commerce Appreciation Dinner on Tuesday night, December 20th. Members Present: Republic Services – Allied Waste, El Centro Foods, La Feria Laundry, Hearing Aid Company of Texas, Halloween Spirit, South Texas Collaborative for Housing Development,Cystic Fibrosis Non-Profit,The Neighborhood Doctor, The Hair Shoppe, GWA Laundry, LLC, South Texas Emerging Markets , Estella Campos, Janie Campos, Septic Services by R&R, CarinaTrujillo, Little Lions Learning Center. The La Feria Chamber of Commerce held an Appreciation Dinner on the evening of Tuesday, December 20, 2016. Held at Los Leones Restaurant in La Feria, the dinner was in appreciation of local area chamber members. Local business owners were treated to dinner as well as presentations during this event.
The La Feria Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary organization of the business community. It unites business and professional individuals and firms creating a central agency which lends itself to improving business and building a better community. Although members are predominantly part of the business community, there is a place in the Chamber for all who share the desire to improve the community and get involved.
The Chamber organizes and directs the energies of those who believe that La Feria is a community worth living in and a community worth improving, enabling them to accomplish collectively what none of them could do individually.
The strength of the organization lies in attracting the greatest number of individuals creating a pool of resources from which ideas, energy and finances can be drawn.
The major responsibility of La Feria’s Chamber of Commerce is the community’s economic well-being. They work to increase wealth and prosperity by facilitating the growth of existing businesses and fostering new ones.
La Feria Chamber of Commerce provides mixers throughout the year as a time for social interaction between chamber members, as well as a time to network with other businesses in the area.
The next meeting of the La Feria Chamber of Commerce will be on Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The location is still pending.
