2017 Lower RGV Cotillion Club Holds Annual Presentation Ball
- Updated: February 17, 2017
The Lower Rio Grande Valley Cotillion Club held its 63rd Annual Presentation Ball on February 4, 2017 at the South Padre Island Convention Center.
The Lower Valley Cotillion Club was originally founded in September of 1954 by Ms. Byron Campbell of Raymondville as a social organization designed to bring together and present to society Lower Rio Grande Valley college-bound, civic-minded and socially active girls. Many Rio Grande Valley women have fond memories of their own Cotillion presentation in years past.
The Cotillion Club continues to be a two-year social club for select junior and senior girls. The highlight of each year is the Presentation Ball.
New members are selected their junior year by an advisory board that considers leadership, community activities, college intentions and suggestions by their senior advisory members. They represent Harlingen, Port Isabel, San Benito, Rio Hondo, La Feria, Santa Rosa and Willacy County.
Congratulations and thanks to our area junior and senior girls for being chosen to represent your communities in this annual event.
