Students, Liana Martinez, Abigail Guerrero, and Carolina Rodriguez competed this year in the District 32 UIL Ready Writing competition. In preparation, the ladies attended practice meets, wrote their essays, received feedback, and then went through to see what needed to be fixed. Holly Smith, UIL Ready Writing Sponsor and also an English teacher at La Feria High School, shares “These girls are great writers on their own.” Mrs. Smith says, “I was definitely not surprised that they moved on to Regionals.”
