The City of La Feria held their 25th Annual Lighted Christmas Parade on Saturday December 9th. This year’s theme was Charlie Brown Christmas. “It was a perfect day for this year’s parade. In the past years the parade was always cold or rainy.” mentioned a local resident. The skies were clear, and it was a mildly cool evening. There were a lot of people out lining the streets ready to watch the parade. The parade was bright with lights and included lots of dancing and singing. Participants competed for cash prizes and a trophy. Awards were awarded to first, second and third place only. This year’s selected winners were in first place C.E. Vail Elementary, which took a $500 cash prize. In second place was David G. Sanchez Elementary which took the $300 cash prize. Finally in third place was Sam Houston Elementary with the $200 cash prize. A huge congratulations to all the winners.
