The La Feria Early College High School’s Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams took a road trip to regionals last week! The team traveled to Texas A&M on October 21st to compete against the top athletes in the region. The competition was held at Dr. Jack Dugan Family Soccer and Track Stadium in Corpus Christi.
The Lions came in with explosive power and a hunger for being the best. Not only do the Lions have ‘skin in the game’, both teams qualified for the state. The lionette girls finished in second place overall as a team, and the Lions boys secured first place overall as a team showing just what La Feria is all about.
The state meet will be held at Old Settler’s Park in Round Rock, Texas on November 1st. Congratulations to both the Lions and Lionettes, your hard work truly pays off, and good luck at State! Go Lions!
